The Yale World Fellows Program is an in-depth four months, full-time residential study program at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Every year, 16 to 18 mid-career professionals from all over the world are selected to become World Fellows. Fellows emanate from a wide range of sectors: government, business, nonprofit organizations, arts, media, and academia. Indeed, diversity within the cohort is one of the strengths of the program that helps to bring a lively learning environment where people bring different perspectives and experiences into the mix.
The program is meant to professionally and personally develop these emerging leaders so as to hone their skills and enhance leadership capacities. Fellows are encouraged to be reflexive concerning global challenges within regional and sectoral contexts and how they can drive change from there.

Purpose of Yale University World Fellows Program

- There is no application fee to apply.
- The Yale University World Fellows Program is open to all the Nationals. Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the United States.
- Fellows must be fluent in English. IELTS or TOEFL are not required.
- Fellows must reside at Yale University in New Haven.

- Fellows should be between five and twenty-five years into their professional careers.

Application Process
This is a highly competitive selection process for Yale World Fellows. There are hundreds of applicants that exist every year from among the best-qualified candidates. Only very few of them are selected to join the program. Ideally, this candidate should have proven demonstrated leadership potential with the intention of creating and changing his or her field or community positively.
- Candidates must have at least five to ten years of professional experience in their field.
- They should demonstrate a track record of success and leadership.
- Applicants must be proficient in English, as the program is conducted entirely in English.
- There are no specific educational requirements; however, candidates should have the intellectual curiosity and the ability to engage in rigorous academic discussions.
- The program is open to individuals from any country or sector, including business, government, academia, non-profit organizations, and the arts.

- Weekly Seminars: World Fellows will introduce themselves and they will share their vision, ideas for making the world a better place, what they do, and how they do it.
- Personal Development: World Fellows receive individual and group coaching and skills development training.
- Hosting Events: World Fellows participate in Panels and talk about knowledge and expertise with students and faculty.
- Mentoring Students: World Fellows mentor Yale students who apply to be their liaisons.
- Networking: Fellows expand their global network by connecting with World Fellows.
