Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Women & Girls: The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls, which is managed by the British Council, is presently accepting applications. This scholarship provides financial support for Pakistani women pursuing Bachelor’s and Master’s/MPhil degrees at any university in Pakistan that is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls funds Pakistani women’s higher education at HEC recognized universities. Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls is being offered at a postgraduate level for a two-year Master’s/MPhil degree at any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.

Under the auspices of the Scottish Government, these funds have the objective of enhancing the accessibility of higher education for women, therefore facilitating the realization of their potential and aspirations. The project in Pakistan is administered by the British Council, which collaborates with chosen academics and universities either directly or through designated university focal persons. Dr. Maarya Rehman, the Deputy Director of British Council Pakistan, stated:
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Women & Girls Scheme plays a crucial role in our efforts to fulfil the educational ambitions of young women and girls in Pakistan. Our objective is to assist them in acquiring the necessary skills, confidence, and networks that will facilitate a positive transformation in their life and contribute to the development of a more prosperous Pakistan.
This scholarship will provide funding for a two-year master’s/MPhil or four-year bachelor’s degree at a Pakistani university accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in one of the following academic areas:
Education Sustainable Energy Utilization
Education in Food Security and Agriculture Health Sciences STEM (Masters degree only)
These scholarships are offered to female applicants only. In addition, applicants must:
- Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan
- Be pursuing a two-year master’s or four-year bachelor’s degree in the above-listed subject areas
- Hold a certified admission offer from a HEC-recognized university in Pakistan
- Young women with impairments, from rural areas and/or minority groups are invited to apply.
